Cavorting in Cardiff!

This past weekend we took a long needed trip to Cardiff to see some of our favorite people, the Mackenzies. It was such a great weekend and Mitch, Niall and Margaret make the best hosts. We ate terrific food, laughed, talked, watched TV, ooohed and aaahed over each other's kid and overall enjoyed ourselves completely.

Here are some pictures of the trip. We did go out and see Cardiff, we just didn't take many pictures of it. Sorry. But here are some of our favorites.

Is it sad that one of the more exciting things we did during the weekend was go to Costco? Matt had never been, and now he gets the appeal. We had fun eating samples and buying large jars of American peanut butter. As you can see, Margaret and Mia are both very much entranced by Costco.

It was a happy coincidence that Mitch was speaking that Sunday in church. I mean, we would have gone anyway, but it was extra fun to hear her give her great talk. Here are the girls looking gorgeous in their dresses. I was trying to get them to sit (or even stand in Amelia's case) together but this was the best I got. Through no fault of Margaret's. That girl is the smiley-est baby I have ever met.

Other highlights in Cardiff include Matt and Niall going to a football match. All the girls taking a nice long walk by the river and into downtown, pork buns, lasagna, streaky bacon, homemade brownies, turkey and mashed potatoes (all very yummy). Also seeing the Mackenzie's new house and the renovations. It was a weekend that was over far too soon. Thanks again Mitch, Niall and Margaret!

I love it! Compliment me, compliment my baby and I think it's the best entry ever. Thanks so much for coming.

Mia is getting so big! I know she is older than janie and I think the same thing about her every day, but for some reason, your girl has stayed about 1 year old in my mind. Her hair is really filling in too. Janie's is long enough to get stuck to her boogers when she has a runny nose. It's awesome :-/
